British Values Day

What a fabulous red, white and blue day!

The whole school started the day with collective worship, led by Pastor Al Simms we thought about Justice and fairness and the Rule of Law alongside our current value of Love. We reflected on how God loves justice and fairness.

We then moved into our classes where we continued to learn about the values of democracy and individual liberty and freedom, as well as learning about some very English food as we baked scones in preparation for our afternoon tea.

Lunch was a very British affair of Toad in the Hole.

During the afternoon we continued to think about the themes of belonging as we looked at flags and shields. We also learnt about the legend of St.George before welcoming parents, grandparents, friends and neighbours to play cricket, croquet, quoites and tennis before enjoying a traditional cream tea in the afternoon sunshine.
