St George's Day.
On Thursday the 23rd April, 2015 we celebrated St. Georges Day and British Values Day.
We found out that St George is the Patron Saint of England and he was a roman soldier who was beheaded by a Pagan Emperor on this day in 303 Ad for his Christian beliefs.
We came to school dressed in red, white and blue clothes instead of our school uniform.
We had an extra special lunch 'Dragons den and St George's cake' which was delicious.
In the morning we baked scones for a traditional English Tea Party. Earlier in the week we invited parents, relatives and friends to join us.
We had traditional British games on the field of cricket, croquet and skittles. Tennis was played on the playground.
The weather was glorious, everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed our homemade/schoolmade cream teas.
