Science practical activities Autumn Term 2016

As part of our work on habitats the children thoroughly enjoyed making their own habitat diorama.  They thought carefully about what their chosen habitat might look like,  what living things live there and how they survive.

As part of our topic on plants we are looking at the process of germination.  We observed and sketched a variety of plants and seeds.

We also planted our own sweet pea seeds, radishes, beans and onions.

We have also  set up an investigation to see what beans need to germinate. We have predicted what plants need to grow healthily and we are showing a clear understanding of fair testing.
